Betty Jane Myers

She worked at Delco, retiring in 1964, and had also worked at Lela’a Pizza, and Griffins Catering. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose, the Eagles, and Kappa Delta Phi.

She is survived by one son, Billy Myers; one daughter, Lavena ‘Deanie’ (Chet) Roberts; daughter-in-law, Alice (AJ) Myers; ten grandchildren, Pat (Nicole) Myers, Christopher Myers, Timothy (Courtney) Myers, Jed Myers, Ian (Katie) Myers, Giovanna (Joe) Myers, Kaleb Myers, Kitten (Rich) Guere, Chester ‘Bubby’ (Sarah) Roberts, and Craig (Tosha) Roberts; eleven great-grandchildren; niece, Judy (John) Spencer; special great-niece, Morgan; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Clarance ‘Steve’ Myers; three brothers; and one sister.

The family wishes to thank nurses, Amy and Cathy, Windsor Estates, Guardian Angel Hospice, and Betty’s special friend, Barb Dryer.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the Carpenter’s House, 37 W. 550 N., US 31 N, (3 miles north of Kokomo), with Rev. Paul Sutherland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice in memory of Betty. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home.
