Bobbette graduated from Kokomo High School in 1967, and then earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Indiana University of Kokomo. She spent her career as a nurse at Howard Community Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 2009.
Bobbette was married to Monte Collins, and they later divorced. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Bobbette is survived by her son, Christopher (Holly) Collins; grandchildren, Ryan Collins and Camille Collins; nephew, Robert Needham; nieces, Kristi (Dave) Heller and Laurie Gutzwiller; friend, Jennie Hiland; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bobbette was preceded in death by her sister, Vickie D. Smith.
There will be a public visitation for Bobbette at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Monday, October 2nd from 10-12. A private funeral service for immediate family will follow. Memorial contributions in Bobbette’s name may be made to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, or the Humane Society.
