Brett Alan Stines

Brett Alan Stines, 47 of Kokomo, passed away May 3, 2019. He was born December 11, 1971 in Sullivan Indiana to Gloria Stines (Smith). Brett married the love of his life Stephanie Stines (Scheffler) September 23, 1995 in Kokomo. She survives him.

Brett was a Logansport High School graduate with the class of 1990. He earned a Degree in Business Management from Indiana State University and was later employed with Carter Fuel Systems in Logansport for 18 years. During his employment he became a certified First Emergency Responder. Brett was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, basketball and especially watching his Beloved Pittsburgh Steelers! His genuine kindness touched many lives.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan.

Surviving him is his mother Gloria, brother Brian Stines (Shannon), grandma Betty Smith, nephew Erik Stines, uncles Ken Smith (Trina) and Ed Smith (Paula), and cousins Shane Smith, Chad Smith, and Julie Todd and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life for Brett will take place Thursday May 9 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel: 3400 South Webster Street at 1:00pm with his Uncle, Pastor Ken Smith officiating. The family invites friends the evening of Wednesday May 8 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the mortuary. There will also be a one hour visitation Thursday prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery.
