Carl Braden Lawson

Carl worked at Chrysler as a pipefitter before retiring after 31 years in 1992. He enjoyed playing golf, watching the Cubs, and attending the Kokomo Jackrabbits games. In his younger years he followed IU Basketball. He also kept busy by completing jigsaw puzzles on the computer. He loved to feed birds and squirrels, making sure they were taken care of if he wasn’t there. He had a sweet tooth, especially for danishes and kept a full stock of them.

He was a devout Christian and member of In His Image Church where he previously served as the Deacon.

Carl is survived by his children Kenneth (Kim) Lawson, Carl (Tina) Lawson, Raymond (Liz) Lawson, Carla Smith, and Clint (Stacey) Lawson, siblings; Daniel (Neva) Lawson, Terry (Pat) Lawson, Kimberlyn (Vickie) Lawson, Flora Crabtree, and Glenda (Jim) Coning, as well as 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Carl is preceded in death by his wives Roberta Lawson and Betty Lawson, and daughter Crystal Livesay.

A visitation for Carl will take place Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at In His Image Church, 2940 County Rd E 50 N, Kokomo, IN 46901. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. Carl will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Carl’s name may be made to In His Image Church.
