

Carolyn "Carrie" Ann Johnson, 86 died Sunday morning at Wellbrooke Nursing Home. She was born May 18, 1939 in Anderson, Indiana to Dorothy (McDonald) Land and Marvin Land. She married Jerry M. Johnson on August 29, 1987.
She moved to Kokomo, Indiana in October 1957 and worked at Fitz's Drive-IN.
She went into the Dry Cleaning business and worked as a counter girl then preceded to do the dry cleaning and pressing and gradually started her own dry cleaning business owned and operated for 50 years and was called "Carrie's Cleaners". She was in a bowling league for many years. Later on in years she moved her mother in with her and took very good care of her, remaining her best friend until her passing.
Carolyn was a member of Moose and Eastern Star. She also enjoyed vacationing to Vegas, going on cruises, collecting books, collecting jewelry, and collecting Lady Di dolls. Most of all she loved visits from her kids and grandkids.
In 2017 she finally decided to retire from the cleaning business at 77 years old. The last few years she enjoyed playing Word Finds and going to dinner with her family.
Carolyn is survived by children, Kaye (the late, William) Orr, the late Judith (Robert) Cubert, Karen (Scott) Pedigo, Randy (Denise) Bough; 7 grandchildren, Billy Orr, Lindsay (Joe) Bolinger, Mike Cubert, Steve (Alissa) Cubert, Cheryl (Sam) VanGorden, Joshua Bough, Ethan Bough, Taylor Pedigo, Shannon (Michael) Teller; 7 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steve and Jerry Land; and daughter, Judith Cubert.
