Carolyn Sue Newton

Carolyn loved to do arts and crafts including using a spinning wheel. She was a member of Sisters, Twisters, and Misters, Carroll County Canal Association and Howard County Home Extension Club. She also made corn silk dolls and crocheted. Carolyn was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning. She also enjoyed reading historical novels and biographies. QVC and HSN were here favorite past time.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Leesa (Michael) Hedger of Kokomo, Mark Newton of Omaha, Nebraska, Greg (Wendy) Newton of Hayfork, California, Brian Newton of Kansas City, Kansas, Kimberly Sitzes of Logansport, Mike (Angie) Newton of Kokomo; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and 1 great-great-grandchild due next Spring; brother, Tom Broadley of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sister, Rebecca Ratliff of Goshen, Indiana.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, David "Gene" Newton; grandson, Jonathan Newton; granddaughter, Sarah Newton; son-in-law, Dave Sitzes.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center 3400 S. Webster Street Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
