Catherine was born in Kokomo, Indiana into a large loving family. In her younger years she found a love for classic movies, music, flowers and many other things but she enjoyed being around family and friends most of all. She married James Sherman Shelton in 1955, with a large family of their own to soon follow. Catherine loved to sit and reminisce over a cup of coffee or entertain with those in her life. She had a knack for bringing folks together. She moved to Washington State in the 70’s and in 1983 she married Maximino Torres. Catherine made everyone feel special, whether it was a handwritten letter, birthday or Christmas card, she was always thinking of others. She was a kind, thoughtful, loving woman.
