John graduated from Frankfort High School in 1990. On March 28, 1997, John was married to Elizabeth (Burnette) in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He had worked for 15 years as a machine operator at Haynes International in Kokomo.
John enjoyed hiking, and anything that involved being outdoors. He also liked to take vacations with his wife, and spend time with his two sons.
John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Decker; parents, William Decker and Maxine Smith; sons, Jesse Decker and Seth Decker; mother-in-law, Patricia Burnette; father-in-law, Gene Burnette; brothers, Brian Decker, Rick Ruiz, and Bass Smith; and brother-in-law, Mike Burnette.
There will be a memorial service for John held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Friday, December 13th from 3 pm to 5 pm.
