Claris L. Wilkison

Claris was born on January 25th, 1932 to her parents Harry A. and Anna (Schwall) Shepherd in Kokomo, IN.

She is survived by her children John, Pamela, Judy, and David; sister Helen Sanders. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Claris attended Kokomo High school and went on to retire from Delco Electronics in 1993 after a career of over thirty years as a final chip inspector. She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church, Local UAW #292, Eagles, Moose, AARP, and Kokomo Senior Citizens. Claris enjoyed modeling, ballroom dancing, traveling the world, and teaching Sunday School. She was a volunteer at Community Howard Regional Hospital and in her spare time learned to fly small planes. Her faith in the Lord and her family were her greatest joys in life.

Claris was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Robert Levi Wilkison, second husband Charles Turley Jr., three brothers, and one sister.

Services will be held Wednesday January 10th, 2018 at 12:00pm with visitation from 10:00am at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel with Pastor Steve Sherwood officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
