Darlene G. Miller, 86, went to be with the Lord April 13, 2013 in St. Joseph Hospital after an extended illness. She was born December 3, 1926, in Carbondale, Illinois, the daughter of the late Rev. Howard and Gladys (Ewing) Goins. On September 2, 1943, she married Joseph Miller who preceded her in death in 2001.
Early in her life she enjoyed crocheting and later in life she enjoyed her many hats. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Kokomo.
Surviving are two sons, Darl Miller, Hamburg, Germany and Howard Miller and his wife Cheryl, Kokomo; four grandchildren, Jan Miller, Frederike Manke and her husband Mathias of Germany, Craig Miller, Gwen Krieg and her husband Chris of Kokomo; and her special friend and companion, Rev. William Babb III.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph W. Watkins officiating. Burial will take place in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
