

David “Dave” Marshall Zirkle, 67, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at North Woods Village Nursing Home in Kokomo. David was born April 1, 1949, to Kenneth and Mary Ellen Zirkle in Springfield, Ohio. David lived in Kokomo most of his life and graduated from Kokomo High School in 1967. He went on to complete two years of college at Mayeville College in North Dakota. He married his wife, Sindy (Seiler) Zirkle, in 1970. David started working for Hamilton Harris in 1963 at the age of 14. He continued to work for Hamilton Harris, which became Smith Harris and is now Eby Brown, of Plainfield, Indiana. David devoted 49 years to Eby Brown and its sister companies. David retired in 2011 from Eby Brown. David was extremely successful with this company and won several "salesman of the year" awards. He also worked a second job as security with Hendricks County Community Hospital for several years.
In addition to David's strong work ethic, he enjoyed cooking, golfing, bowling, and working in his yard. David was a member of the Circle S Ranch Hunting Club in Missouri. He was involved with various coaching activities throughout his kids’ schooling. Dave loved spending time with his family and loved being with his grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Sindy; his daughter, Janette Adams (Donnie); his son, Brad; his daughter, Amy Kruger (Joseph); two granddaughters, Kenley and Ashley; one grandson, Cannon; his nephew, Kenny Zirkle (Sami); and a few cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Ellen Zirkle, and his only sibling, Marvin Zirkle. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, with David’s good friend, Mr. Bill Kaler, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O.
