He is survived by his beloved wife Alma McPeek; son, Tony (Susan) McPeek; daughters Jevetta “Tincy” Dahn & Angela “Sugar” McPeek; grandsons Michael Roark, John McPeek, Carter McPeek & Brayden Gunell; granddaughters Shyanna Hilligoss, Kayla “Purty Baby” Bradley & Angel Cooper; great grandchildren Cayden, Leland & Bentley Cooper; brothers Billy Keen & Hillard McPeek; sister in law Zella McPeek; and niece Michelle Hawkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel McPeek; brothers James McPeek, Roger Keen, Robert McPeek & Don McPeek; and sisters Shirley & Fayette Slone.
Doc had a love of gardening, the outdoors and animals, especially chickens. He was a long time member of the Elks Lodge and frequented the Red Dog Saloon. He was an advocate for Veterans and was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Doc would often be heard saying “Don’t talk about it, do it” and “Don’t believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see."
Doc’s visitation will be Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2:00 – 6:00pm at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel and his funeral service Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00am at the Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel.
