Nécrologie de Dorothea " Evette Lassiter
Dorothea Evette Lassiter was born on September 8, 1958 to the late Robert Lassiter and Mary (Henderson-Begelton) in Topeka, Kansas. As a young teenager she moved to Boston to live with her Aunt Leota Cooper and she later moved with John and Pauline Cain. Dorothea was educated in the Boston Public School graduating from Jamaica Plain High School, where she and was a proud cheerleader and basketball player. She enjoyed plants and nature; if you had a plant that was dying her magic green thumb could revive it. Dorothea loved fishing; all she needed was a fishing rod, a sunny day and a couple of good bites and her day would be complete. She was a committed New England Patriots fan; if they were playing rest assured that she would be in the front of the television yelling “that’s my Chowder Boys.” Dorothea was a tidy person; she took those skills to create her own cleaning service, “Thea’s Magic Touch” her company served many businesses in the Atlanta area until her illness in 2015. If you really wanted to see that giant smile on her face just ask her if she would like a cup of coffee. She loved her family and would travel to any state they were in to reconnect. On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, Dorothea Evette Lassiter slept away peacefully at her home in Stone Mountain, GA. She has changed addresses and is now at her mansion in Glory. She will be missed by every life she touched. Dorothea is preceded in death by her sisters; Amita Denise Johnson of Monahan, Texas, Berniece Glover of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patricia Cain of Boston, Massachusetts, brother Robert Thomas Lassiter Jr., Merveal Begelton III, Derwin Cain of Boston, Massachusetts.
