Edward L West

Edward L West, 79, of Kokomo, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after an extended illness. Edward was born November 29, 1935, in New Castle, to Paul and Ruth (Welker) West. He married Joyce (King) West, and she survives.

Edward graduated from New Castle High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, and later worked at AT&T as a tool and die maker. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Pioneer Club, and Center Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce; three daughters, Yvonne (Robert) Petty of Franklin, Angela West of Victorville, California, and Janetta McVay of Kokomo; one son, Paul (Becki) West of Morris, Illinois; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Maple of Franklin, Shawn Petty of Chicago, Illinois, Matthew Petty of Muncie, Jessica and Jonathan Bright both of Victorville, California, Michael Allen and Briana McVay both of Kokomo, and Gillian and Elise West both of Morris, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Center Road Church of Christ, 899 W. 300 S., Kokomo. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
