Florence Ellen (Orpurt) Steele

Florence Ellen Orpurt Steele, 72, went Home to be with the Lord on June 28th, 2018 at home, with family by her side. Florence was born to James and Cleo Starr Walsh on October 17th, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana. She married Errol Orpurt Sr., who preceded her in passing in 2001, then later married George Steele Jr. on April 25th, 2004.

Florence loved playing Rachet and Clank on her PlayStation 2. She enjoyed fishing and doing word searches and crossword puzzles. She loved to go for car rides in the country with her family. Pepsi was her favorite drink. Florence and George liked to watch crime shows, scary movies, and shark movies together. Florence loved her grandkids and great-grandkids tremendously. Her family will miss her dearly.

Florence is survived by her husband, George Steele Jr.; children Sandy (Richard) Hernandez of Fresno, CA, Tammy (William) Hoffman of Peru, Linda (Roger) Spillman of Peru, Walter (Shannon) Orpurt of Kokomo, Errol (Hollie) Orpurt of Lafayette; sisters Ruby (Bob) Gamble of Peru and Anna Stapleton of Texas; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Florence is preceded in passing by her parents; daughter Michelle Orpurt; 3 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers.
