Gary Lynn Stevenson

Gary Lynn Stevenson, 63, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:40 AM Monday April 23, 2018 at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo. Gary was born July 19, 1954 in Kokomo to the late John Carl Stevenson and Ethel (Wright) Stevenson. He was a 1972 graduate of Kokomo High School. On July 25, 2009 in Kokomo, he married Kathy Lynn (Hinton), and she survives. He was employed with Chrysler Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685 and attended Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his Hot Rod cars and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Lynn Stevenson of Kokomo; one son Andrew (Amber) Stevenson of Kokomo; two daughters Sarah (Lawrence) McCormack of Carmel, Ashley Stevenson of Kokomo; two step-daughters Jessica (Jason) Butler of Roanoke, Virginia, and Brittani Prifogle of Tipton. There are also six grandchildren Kaden Stevenson, Molly McCormack, Georgia McCormack, Paisley Stevenson, Cameron Butler and Noah Butler; two brothers-in-law Don Wright of Kokomo and Tim (Sherri) Hinton, two sisters-in-law Debra (Tom) Carmer and Kelly (Jim) Hendershot, and four nephews. He also cherished his faithful companion Trixie.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Ramona Wright.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Saturday April 28, 2018 at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 E. Barkdol Street, Kokomo. Minister Dan Darling will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
