Harold J. Brantley, 57, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his residence in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on April 29, 1960 to the late Albert and Lillie (Williamson) Brantley.
Harold graduated from high school in Carmel, Indiana, and then worked several jobs, including a janitor for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and assisting his nephew with mowing yards.
Harold was a member of the VFW, and enjoyed playing bingo as well as collecting coins. He spent most of his time caring for his mother, Lillie, in her later years until she passed in 2004.
Harold is survived by four sisters, Irene Robertson, Ruby Jackson, Faye Shouse, an Reba Huddleston; three brothers, Billy (Ann) Brantley, Edward (Sue) Brantley, and Iven (Saundra) Brantley; and 30 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two sisters, Ada Brantley and Velda Turner.
A visitation for Harold will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo from 4-7. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on May 31st at 1:00, and then Harold will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
