

Harry M. Swick Jr., 93, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at North Woods Village in Kokomo. He was born in Danville, Illinois on September 18, 1923 to the late Harry Swick Sr. and Josephine (Skinner) Swick.
Following high school in Danville, Harry enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably during World War II. After his service to his country, Harry moved to Kokomo and worked as a supervisor for General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 1980.
Harry was an active member of Jerome Christian Church in Greentown. He was also a Mason member and enjoyed fishing, painting, and woodworking. He married his present wife, Roberta, on January 28, 1980, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by two sons, John (Pam) Swick, and James (Julie) Swick Sr.; a daughter, Susan (Dale) Raines; 2 stepsons, Terry Hedrick and Stephen (Pam) Hedrick; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Hulet; a sister, Patty Huffman; grandchildren, Doug Raines, Scott Raines, Todd Raines, James Swick Jr., Amber Swick, Mason Swick, Mark (Amber) Swick, Kelly (Danny) Bowman, Angela (Jim) Richason, and Michelle (Scott) Schroeter. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
A visitation for Harry will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo from 4-7. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on May 10th at 11:00, and then Harry will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors.
