Harvey Dean Zuhde, 83, of Kokomo passed away August 9, 2018 at Milner Community Health Care, Rossville, Indiana. Harvey was born in Burlington, Wisconsin on February 28, 1935, the son of Frances (Baker) Zuhde and Lawrence Middleton.
Harvey lived most of this life in Kenosha, Wisconsin, moving later to Grand Marsh, Wisconsin and finally Kokomo, Indiana. He retired from Chrysler Corporation, Kenosha in 1983 after 30 years. In retirement, he operated a small engine repair business.
On August 13, 1955 he married Carol Laurent. They had three daughters, Cheri, Deana and Tamee, who he loved dearly. He and Carol divorced in 1982. He married Jacqueline Winchester in 1986 and they later divorced.
Harvey enjoyed working with his hands. He was a carpenter, building his first home after he married Carol. Harvey also enjoyed racing pigeons, snowmobiling, horseshoes, fishing, the Packers and playing pool.
Harvey is survived by his daughters, Cheri Kirby of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Deana Kelly (Jimmer) of Burlington, Indiana and Tamee Tenwinkel, of Delphi, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Timothy Chadwick, Natina Bohnsack, Crystal Baker, Brenda Hollatz, Beckie Miller, Chelsey Clausen, and Megan Tenwinkel; eleven great grandchildren; and his half-brothers and sisters, Frank Zuhde, Richard Zuhde, Mary Knott, Patricia Elliot, Margaret Anderson and Claira Winter (on the Zuhde side), Lawrence Earl Middleton, Virginia May Van, and Elizabeth Ann Webel (on the Middleton side).
In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his siblings, Beverly Bontrager, Joyce Ann Middleton-Yanke-Messer-Childers, Mary Lynn Dubois, Margaret Jean Langer and Robert Harvey Middleton.
