

Homer Eugene Hoover, 85, Kokomo, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Homer was born February 1, 1932 to Howard Marshal Hoover and Betsy Lee (Moore) Hoover. He married his wife Joyce Hoover June 6, 1965. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Homer attended school in Sharpsville, and then went to work at Delco Electronics. He retired in 1988 after 35 and a half years of service. Homer enjoyed reading books and sitting outside reading the newspaper. Homer and his wife enjoyed watching the live music in the parks around Kokomo. He loved the 1960’s Yankee’s baseball team and was happy to have witnessed the Cubs win recently! Homer loved taking David on train rides as he was growing up. When his wife Joyce passed, Homer’s son took him out every Saturday for dinner. Those memories, David will cherish forever. He was an honorable man and he loved his country. The family would like to say thank you, to those neighbors who watched over him.
Homer is survived by his son David Hoover (companion Melissa Mooney) and a sister Georgia Ryan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; William Hoover and sisters; Agness Bess and Julia Welcher.
Funeral Services for Homer will take place Saturday December 16, 2017 at 1pm at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel with Pastor Jeff Sexton officiating. The family will offer visitation prior from 11:00am to 1:00pm Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery.
