Irma Mae Siburt

Irma Mae Siburt, 92, Kokomo passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 7th, 2018. Irma was born on October 1st, 1925 in Chambers, KY to Clarence and Julia (Connell) Bruner. Irma married Robert F. Siburt on October 27th, 1950, whom preceded her in death on April 25th, 1993. She is survived by her daughters Teresa Black, Lexington, KY, Elaine Siburt, Lady Lake, FL, Cheryl (William) Roach, Kokomo, and Merry (Travis) Skinner, Fernandina Beach, FL; sister Thelma Robertson, Hawesville, KY, daughter-in-law Ebelia Watson, 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Amanda, Katherine, Alicia, Kerri, Robert, John, Jenna, Leah, and seven great grandchildren. Irma graduated Beechmont High School in Hawesville, KY, class of 1943. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, volunteering at church, going to garage sales, collecting sea shells, traveling, canning, and cooking. Most recently, she enjoyed volunteering and spending time at the Senior Citizens Center. She received the Golden Hoosier award in 2008 for her volunteer work at Area Five. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert F. Siburt, son Robert Alan Siburt, and five brothers. Memorial Contributions may be made to Senior Citizens Center "Area Five" with envelopes available at the mortuary. Services will be held on Tuesday June 12th, 2018 at 2:00pm at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel with Pastor Mike Sawyer officiating. Family and friends may visit Monday June 11th, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm and one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Galveston Cemetery.
