Jacob Russell Herring

Jacob Russell Herring, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 11th, 2023, at the young age of 23. Born on September 10th, 1999 in Kokomo, Indiana, Jacob brought immense joy to his family and all who knew him. Jacob was a graduate of Kokomo High School with the class of 2017.

Jacob was a bright and caring individual who had a deep passion for gaming, spending countless hours exploring new worlds, and making connections with friends online. He also loved spending time at the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun on his face, and the sand between his toes. But above all, Jacob cherished spending time with his family.

Jacob is survived by his father, Mark Herring and step-mother Katie Herring; his mother, Patricia Flaherty and step-father Patrick Flaherty; his siblings Steven Herring, Ethan Flaherty, Lydia Starks, Rhegan Flaherty, Nichole Herring and Ava Herring.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents Russell Rostron, Leroy Herring, and Connie Burruss.

His loss is felt deeply by his family and friends, who will forever remember his kind heart, quirky personality, quick-witted humor, and unwavering love.

Jacob's memory will live on through the cherished moments he created with loved ones and the impact he had on those around him. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, April 21st, at Abundant Life Church, 1025 County Road E., 400 S., Kokomo, from 5:30pm until 7:00pm, when the funeral service will begin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society, 729 E Hoffer St, Kokomo, IN 46902.
