James "Jimmy" Lee Nicholls, 55, passed away on May 3rd, 2019. Jimmy was born to Lewis and Mildred Nicholls on July 27th, 1963 in Kokomo. He attended Kokomo High School, then went on to work for Indiana Packers, then Chrysler for 15 years. Jimmy also blacktopped for 25 years.
Jimmy married Tammy Wolfe on April 14th, 1984, and she survives him.
Jimmy was known around Kokomo as "Cheeseburger." During his childhood, he bowled in leagues. Later, he coached and managed Northwest Park softball teams for 25 years. He was a really great cook. Jimmy loved to camp with his family at Indian Trails in Peru. Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Tammy Nicholls; daughter Jennifer (Anthony) Brannan; sister Robin Wall; brothers Donald (Dee) Smith, Chris (Anita) Smith, Danny (Terry) Nicholls, grandchild Kaylee; and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in passing by his parents Lewis and Mildred Nicholls; and his brother, Steve Smith.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 9th, at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street Kokomo, Indiana 46901. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10th, at 1:00 PM also at the mortuary.
