James R. Sedan, 71, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017. He was born to James and Mildred Sedan on October 10, 1945 in Rensellaer, Indiana. James married his wife of almost 33 years, Dorothy, on August 18, 1984, and she survives him. James worked in the body shops of Conkels Pontiac, Erik’s Chevrolet, and Ford. James was a member of the E.W.C.C. Carver’s Club in Converse. He also played the bass guitar.
James is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children Kim, James Jr., Shadrick, Jodie; step-children Jesse, Billy, and Robert Likens, many grandchildren, sister Marilyn Chapman.
James is preceded in death by his parents, and step-son Donny Bowers.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. also at the mortuary, officiated by Pastor Doyle Buckner. James will be laid to rest at North Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
