Janet Kay Trine

Janet Kay Trine, a beloved and kind-hearted soul, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on February 25, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana, Janet lived a life filled with compassion, devotion, and generosity. Her strength of spirit and resilience leaves a legacy of which her family is proud.

Janet attended and graduated from Kokomo High School. She went on to work for Stites Cleaners, where she dedicated 18 years before retiring. Janet married William J. Trine, and together they raised three children. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

In her leisure time, Janet greatly enjoyed coloring, word search puzzles, and going to the casino. Her love for her family was paramount, and she cherished every moment with them.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, James J. (Chris) Trine and William J. (Kine't) Trine; siblings, Steve (Jamie) Hall and Connie (Jim) Lanning; grandchildren, Brian (Courtney) Corne, Brittany Crousore, Ashton Zimmerman, Kaylin Trine, Kiley Trine, Karley Trine, Breann (Lance) McKinney, and Samantha (Brandon) Sherwood; and great-grandchildren, Keyli, Aniyah, Kyren, Jax, and Decklynn.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florence Hall; in-laws, Joe Trine and Leotta Scott; husband, William J. Trine; and daughter, Pamela S. Trine.

A visitation will be held at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, located at 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, IN 46902, on February 13, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm. Janet will be laid to rest immediately following her funeral service at Albright Cemetery, 3910 Albright Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902.

Janet's life was a testament to her patient and generous nature, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
