Jasper “Jack” Lee Keiser, 87, went to be with Jesus on April 6th, 2018. He was the son of Anna and Joseph Keiser. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana on August 2nd, 1930.While serving in the Army in Huntsville, Alabama, he met the love of his life, Julia Phillips. They were married on May 30th, 1953 and he loved her until the day he died. She passed away on April 1st, 2017. Jack retired from GMAC after many years, and then went on to work for First National Bank for 10 years. Jack was active in his church, Kokomo First Assembly of God. He loved watching his Purdue Boilermakers play basketball and football. Jack was a 1957 graduate of Purdue University. He enjoyed working outside, tending to his plants, and feeding the birds. Jack was always there to cheer on his children and grandchildren in anything that they were involved in. Jack was a loyal and faithful man, loving husband, and a very special dad, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy. Jasper is survived by his daughters Pam (Mark) Fitch, Cheryl (Dave) Walker, and Jana (Scott) Norman; sister Lois Barnard; sisters-in-law June (Maurice) Brunisma, Jackie (Terry) Morgan, and Betty Phillips; grandchildren Stacey (Craig) Jackson, Calvin (Jordan) Fitch, Hailey Rice, Blake Brookshire, Brittney (Shawn) Miller, Trevor (Lexie) Brookshire; great-grandchildren Mason Morgan, Landon and Owen Jackson, Lauran Walker, Jared and Jensen Roseberry, Gage and Jenna Lidy, Brady Brookshire, Tucker and Kelsy Miller. Jack is preceded in passing by his wife, Julia Keiser; his parents; grandson Austin “AJ” Morgan; and sister Carol Bol. Family will receive friends from 9AM to 11AM on Friday, April 13th at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11AM, also at the mortuary. Pastor Brian Hughes will officiate. Jack will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Kokomo Humane Society.
