Joan C Bayer

Joan C. Bayer, 87, of Kokomo passed away at 6:52 AM Monday August 26, 2019 at Greystone Health and Rehab, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born November 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Bayer and Catherine (Ruman) Bayer. She was a 1949 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was also a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for 42 years, retiring in 1995. She was an exceptional seamstress; enjoyed decorating and flower arranging. She attended St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the ABWA. Survivors include one goddaughter Mary (Jerry) Cox of Ft. Wayne; two nieces Felicia Jordan of Noblesville and Candice Korklewski of Waukesha, WI. She was preceded in death by one brother Phillip Bayer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon Tuesday September 3, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1204 N. Armstrong Street, Kokomo. Rev. Father Brian Dudzinski will celebrate. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday at the church.
