Johanna Renee Moore

Johanna Renee Moore, 54, of Kokomo, went to be with her LORD at 2:59 pm Thursday February 23, 2017 from St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born June 8, 1962 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Moore and Ruth Ellen (Reeves) Moore. She was a 1980 graduate of Haworth High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing board games, listening to music, and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Survivors include four daughters Lakia N. Moore, Ahlonna R. Moore, Tamia S. Moore, and Shelby J. Moore all of Kokomo; her companion William Brown Sr. of Kokomo; three brothers Barry K. (Lesa) Moore and Brian (Rose) Moore, both of Indianapolis, Henry Moore of Kokomo; four sisters Sheila Moore, Marla Moore, and Tamara Betts, all of Kokomo, and Maria Moore of Indianapolis. There are also three grandchildren Jordan Jeffries, Jayden Bender, and CaMariya Moore, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. There is also a special uncle, Boyd E. Kirby Sr., special son Jomal Cox, and special lifetime friends Melissa Patterson, Martha Ferguson, Gawana Meriwether, LeAnn Tyler, Robert L. Hillman, Joseph C. Tate, and Dean M. Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may bring food for the repass dinner on Friday to The Traxx (formerly the Legion), 800 N. Purdum Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 3, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor William Gary will officiate. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the mortuary.
