Nécrologie de JoHanna Marie Rankert
“To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time to every purpose, under heaven” JoHanna Marie (Beattie) Rankert, 68, was guided to Heaven peacefully in her sleep, with a smile upon her face, on Thursday, May 19th, 2022. She was born August 28th, 1953, in Waukegan Illinois, to Warren R. and Viva V. Beattie. Proudly raised in Antioch Illinois, she and her mother relocated to Indiana in the years after her fathers passing. She was a 1971 graduate of Carroll High School. Upon graduation she attended beauty school and became a cosmetologist, working at various salons in the area through the 1970s-80s, and eventually chose to perform hair styling at her home. JoHanna’s first marriage gifted her with two children whom she lovingly referred to as her best friends; Amy Michelle (Glassburn) Ruckman “her sunshine girl”, and Joshua Timothy Glassburn-Ruby “her little buddy”. In 1994 she met the love of her life Michael E. Rankert, “her Mike”. They chose to march forth, on March 4th 1995, forever as husband and wife. Together they traveled the country, towing their camper, and riding their Harley Davidson, all while enjoying their love for one another; often in the company of their closest friends, along with their pets. Anyone who knew JoHanna also knew that she loved all of her animals as children. JoHanna is survived by her husband Mike, her children Amy and Joshua, her son in law Rick Glassburn-Ruby, and stepsons Matt, Ryan, and Adam Rankert. Four Grandchildren; Kristen Turner, Leighann Turner, Hannah Ruckman, and Zyrus Rankert. Three Great Grandchildren; Alexander Berry, and Clarity & Joseph Wright. She is also survived by her brothers Dennis (Emily) Beattie, Douglas (Carol) Beattie, and Patric (Reva Jo) Beattie, along with nine nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Edna Mae Beattie, a grandson; Alexander Warren Cree, and many close friends and loved ones. A Memorial Gathering will be Wednesday, 25, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Share a memory with the family at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com
