Nécrologie de Juanita "Peggy" Mae Daly
Juanita “Peggy” Daly, 90 went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on May 11, 2020. Peggy was born to Omer and Juanita Fisher on May 23, 1929, in Kokomo. Peggy graduated from Kokomo High School in 1947, where she met Pat Daly. She slammed the “football star’s” fingers in her locker. From that they developed a lifelong relationship. Married on September 16, 1950, Peggy‘s wedding band never left her finger until her death. They were married over 67 years until the time of his passing, June 1, 2018. Peggy worked part time in the cafeteria at Elwood Haynes school, but mostly enjoyed being a stay at home mom and wife. Peg dearly loved all of her grandchildren; her “Little Indians,” “Little Angels,” and various other names she had given them. She was very supportive of all their activities including sports, plays, and Grandparents Day. Peg was very involved at Judson Road Christian Church where she taught VBS & Sunday School in her early years. There, she and Pat started the Forever Young ministry, participated in dart ball, Hum-dingers, and hosted many after-service "get togethers" in their home. She never wanted anyone to leave hungry. She enjoyed attending many pow-wows with her sister Sandy. She and Pat enjoyed dancing at home, listening to music, sitting on the porch swing, and vacationing in Florida. Peg is survived by daughters Nancy (Kim) Drake, and Cindy (Nathan Holl) Tino; daughter in law Beverly Daly; sisters Patsy (Tom) Sanders and Sandy (Tom) Maddox; sister in law Ollie Fisher; grandchildren Summer (Bret) Bailey, Cameron (Tori) Daly, Carah (Cameron “C2”) Havens, Aubrey Drake, Dr. Clayton (Arianna)Tino, Dr. Cody Tino, and Adrianne (Mike) Scherschel; Great grandchildren; Boston, Mia, Briley, Norah, Asher, Jake, and Maisie, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Pat; son Patrick “Joe” Daly; brother Robert “Joe” Fisher. Since the time of her passing, she was joined by her sister Charlotte “Sue” Pelgen. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a graveside service for the family at Sunset Memory Garden cemetery at 10:30 AM Saturday July 18th. Friends may visit with the family following the graveside from 1pm to 3pm at Oasis Community Church, 600 Fairgrounds Rd. Tipton. A memorial service will begin at 3pm for those who wish to stay.
