Juanita Jeanette Sears

was born on December 16, 1936, in Ooltewah, Tennessee, to Harrison and Genina (Arnwine)

Owsley. She married the love of her life, Robert Sears, on October 15, 1955, at St. Patrick

Catholic Church.

Juanita attended KHS and worked at General Motors, retiring in June 1993. She was a

member of New Beginnings Church and UAW Local 292 and was active in the Eagles and

Moose for many years. Juanita loved bowling and was an avid crocheter who made the most

beautiful afghan blankets. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister,

and friend. To know her was to love her.

Juanita is survived by her sons Richard (Gayle) Sears and David Sears; grandchildren: Joshua

(Shannon) Sears, Kristopher (Brindley) Sears, Allison (Jake) Gibson, Nicholas (Bre) Sears,

Holly (Craig) Little; great-grandchildren: Isabella and Beckham Sears, Camden and Addilyn

Gibson; siblings: Owen Owsley, Joyce (Ron) Sheely, Wayne Owsley, Joan Stater, Ron Owsley,

Ruth Collins, Pauletta (Clinton) W ray, and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, one brother, three sisters-in-law, and

four brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center (3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, Indiana, 46902). Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, with Pastor Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park.
