Julia Olive Holliday, 83, passed away at East Lake Nursing Home in Elkhart on May 3, 2017, with family by her side. Julia was born to Elsie and Fay Davis on December 23, 1933 in Muncie, Indiana. She married Donald Holliday on October 27, 1951 and he precedes her in death. Julia worked for Howard Community as a nurse’s aid, and later as a home health-aid. Julia’s family was her life. She was a nurturing person, always taking care of someone. Julia and Donald enjoyed fishing on Lake Shafer.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Deb (Pete) Konecny, son Daniel (Cindy) Holliday, 1 brother, 6 sisters, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 8 siblings.
Friends and family may call on Saturday May 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Greg Reed. Julia will be laid to rest at Kokomo Memorial Park.
