Kaden James Michael Chapel, age 15, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Kaden was born July 26, 2006 to Trianna Chapel-Mulvaney and his dad, Brandon Mulvaney, who helped raise him since he was a baby.
Kaden attended several local schools before being homeschooled. He had a love of playing basketball, video games, and watching Netflix, with the Chicago Bulls being his favorite team to watch. Legacies, Fairly Oddparents, Rick and Morty, and Vampire Diaries were among his most watched tv shows. He liked playing Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Monster Legends, and World of Warcraft. If he wasn't playing video games on either the Xbox or computer, you could find him glued to his cell phone playing 8-Ball pool or listening to music. He was a grandma and grandpa's boy for sure. He loved spending time with them and their dogs. Kaden also loved to pitch a tent and go fishing with his dad, shoot BB guns, play with pocket knives, and especially loved riding his moped and mini bikes! Hanging out with his brother Clayton, and cousins Xavier and Hayley, who were all raised liked siblings, were some of his fondest memories.
Kaden also loved to wrestle. "You wanna run 30?" was his all-time favorite saying to ask his friends and siblings if they wanted to wrestle. His grandpa introduced him to Wrestle Mania, which fueled his love of the sport. He also had the most contagious laugh. He could make any quiet room turn loud or any loud room turn quiet. He gave loyalty a whole new meaning, one that most adults could take a lesson from. He could be your ride or die if and when you needed him. Kaden will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
Kaden is survived by his parents, Trianna and Brandon; his grandparents, Teresa Chapel, Kathy & John Gibson, and Jeff Roberson; step-grandfather, Ricky Weaver; great-grandparents, James & Carolyn Robertson, and Shirley Zeider; siblings, Clayton (along with his significant other, Tiffany), Kalob, and Kay-leigh Chapel, Saxon, Taylar, Tilar, Delilah, and Nova Mulvaney; his (favorite) Aunt Kati Chapel and Uncle Aaron Fisher, several other aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a special friend, Angel McKinney.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kevin W. Chapel, Sr.
Services for Kaden will be held on Thursday, December 9th at Ellers Mortuary on Webster St. at 11am, with Pastor Dan Purvis officiating. Friends and family may call from 2pm to 6pm the evening of Wednesday December 8.
Kaden will be laid to rest next to his Pap-pal Kevin at Kokomo Memorial Park.
