Linda S. Debethune, 69, Kokomo, passed away Aug. 4, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 4, 1946, the daughter of the late Ralph Smith and the late Leona (Bennett) McKibben. On Sept. 26, 2006, Linda married Robert Debethune, and he passed away on July 17, 2012.
Linda was retired from the Logansport Community School Corporation.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Brenda S. Elburn; two grandsons, Andrew Stephen Perry Elburn, and Dillin Wayne Michael Elburn; several brothers and sisters, Dave Scruggs, Jim Scruggs, Dave Smith, Kay Conklin, Sam Smith, Mary Parks, Roy Smith, Larry Smith, Judy Groce, and Connie Phelmann; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Smith and Leona McKibben; brothers, Louie Smith, Sonny Smith, Albert Smith, and Mike Smith; and a sister, Ruth Ann O’Dell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to the start of the service at 5 p.m.
