Lola Jeanne Tate

On November 11, 1951, Lola was married to Bradley Gene Tate in South Bend. Bradley preceded Lola in passing in 2009. In 1960, Lola and Bradley joined Steward Memorial Church and were baptized that same year. When they moved to Kokomo, they became members at Temple Baptist Church, then Bible Baptist Church, and later joined Grace Baptist Church.

Lola enjoyed crocheting and embroidery projects. She would also keep herself occupied by putting together jigsaw puzzles and reading. She served as the Indiana State Secretary for Child Evangelism Fellowship for over 20 years.

Lola is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Kris) Daugherty; sister, Brenda Jean (Chris) Stores; brother, Edward Smith; grandchildren, Eric Daugherty, Chad Daugherty, and Shawn Daugherty; and great grandchildren, Savannah Jo Daugherty and Kinsley Marie Daugherty.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lola was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Smith; and a sister-in-law, Betty Smith.

There will be a public visitation for Lola held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Monday, August 6th from 11-1, immediately followed by a funeral service.
