

Lydia graduated from high school in Huntertown, Indiana, and then married Donald Burns on November 19, 1957 in Winterhaven, California. Donald passed away on April 26, 1995.
Lydia worked for the Colony Shop, Helene’s Hallmark, and Phyllis’ Hallmark stores in Kokomo for 25 years, and then worked at the Oak Furniture Store for 10 years. She was an active member at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kokomo for 21 years. She enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, and also regularly would bring treats to the firemen at Kokomo Station #3. Her favorite activity was spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Lydia is survived by her son, Daniel Burns; daughter, Lori (John) Landes; brothers, Keith (Becky) Noll, and Ricky Noll; sisters, Betty (Charlie) Abbott, and Cheri (Bill) Lincoln; grandchildren, Jennifer Burns, Amanda Burns, Zachary Burns, John (Rebekah) Landes, Lisa (Brian) Stutzman, Christopher Glassburn, Ed (Alisha) Glassburn, and Schirean Glassburn. Lydia also has 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lydia was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra K Glassburn, and a brother, Jerry Noll.
A public visitation for Lydia will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kokomo on Friday, October 27th from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. Luke’s on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Mitch Norwood officiating. Lydia will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden cemetery.
