Lyle Wayne Brock Jr.

Lyle Wayne Brock Jr., 77, of Kokomo passed away at 10:44 AM Tuesday August 13, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born March 6, 1942 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Lyle Wayne Brock Sr. and Dorothy (McCartney) McGraw. He was raised by his mother and step-father Orliff G. McGraw. On July 3, 1965 in Hartsville, TN, he married Barbara Jean (Swing). She preceded him in death on December 21, 2012. He was employed with Skip's Donut Shop, Dietzen's Bakery, and then Wonder Bread for 24 years, retiring in February 2005. He enjoyed making candies in the holiday season. He loved cars and motorcycles and reading about them and was an avid TV watcher. Survivors include four sons David Riley, Micheal (Tameria) Riley, and Christopher Brian Skinner, all of Kokomo, and Steven Michael (Christi) Riley of Tulsa, OK; four daughters Debra (Don) Beechum and Patricia Louise Eckels, both of Tennessee, Cheryl Elaine Riley of Kokomo and Connie Sue Alley; three brothers Rick (Martha) McGraw of Lake City, MI, Jack (Carolyn) McGraw of Kokomo, and Ronald W. (Kathy) Brock of Bonaire, GA; five sisters Cathy Marie Tygart of Kokomo, Mary Jane (Kevin) Madewell of North Carolina and Lee Ann (Jeff) Johnson of Florida, Patricia E. (William) Seyler of Perry, GA, Shirley M. Hall of Perry, GA; one brother-in-law James Edwards of Pensacola, FL. There are also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons Steven Lewis Riley and Frederick Martin Riley; one daughter Cathy Jean Riley; one sister Charlotte Edwards; one brother James Kenneth Brock and one brother-in-law William Tygart. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday August 21, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor David Mygrant will officiate. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday at the mortuary.
