Marjorie D. (Huston) Arnett, 88, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Fairmount Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 31, 1922, in Kokomo, to Leroy Rex and Lola (DeWitt) Huston. On May 3, 1941, she married Ernest W. Arnett, and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2008.
She retired from Delco electronics and was the oldest member of Brookside Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Denny (Tammy) Arnett, and Richard ‘Dick’ Arnett, all of Kokomo; four grandchildren, Devon Burthay and her companion Chuck Day, Tony Arnett and his wife Andrea, Nick Arnett, and Laura Conkle and her husband Chuck, all of Kokomo; eight great-grandchildren, Andrea Minor and her fiancé Jon Williams, Luke Minor, Makenzie Burthay, Alex Arnett, Andrew Arnett, Adam Arnett, Charles Conkle IV, and Jonathan Conkle, all of Kokomo; one brother, Lloyd Huston and his wife Evelyn of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; one sister, Carol Vore and her husband Bob of Kokomo; and one sister-in-law, Mazie Prifogle of Kokomo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marjie Jean; two brothers, Joseph Huston, and Orville Huston; and two sisters, Helen Beatty and Irene Thurston.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
