Mark Nelson Foust, 63, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on March 28,2025 at Community Howard Hospital of Kokomo surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 4,1961 to Richard E. & Becky S. (Louden) Foust, in Kokomo. He was a 1980 graduate of Taylor High School, in Center, Indiana. He enjoyed following the Colts, IU basketball, and the Cincinnati Reds. He always had a baseball mitt with him at the Reds games waiting on a fly ball! To his dismay, he never got one. Mark had a very giving and kind heart, who loved his family dearly. He was a bright light, not only for his family, but also for the residents of the Frances House, and he handled his mental health struggles with grace. He was his father's "buddy". He loved their lunch dates and trips to the convenience store for a good fountain drink to end the day. He loved all genres of music and learned to play guitar by ear. Hearing him practice wasn't always enjoyable for his family, but they kept a smile on their face and encouragement in their words, and he eventually mastered it. He had a fantastic sense of humor. You never knew what he was going to say or do next, so his family was always watching for his pranks. He was a true jokester who will forever be in our hearts with wonderful memories of a life graciously lived.
Loving survivors include Mark's parents, Richard and Becky Foust; siblings Richard P. (Julie) Foust, Sherry K. (Jeff) Landseadel, and Matthew A. Foust; nieces and nephews, Ellen Foust, Payton (Kacey) Dick, Derek (Rachel) Landseadel; and great-nephews, Keller and Theodore Dick. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Barbara Louden, and Oscean and Helen Foust; niece, Holly K. Foust; and nephew, Joseph Foust.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 11am until 1pm at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Funeral service and burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the entire third floor staff at Community Howard Regional Health for their compassionate care of Mark during his final days. They would also like to thank everyone at the Frances House for their decades of caring, love and support for Mark.
