

Michelle Ann Lybrook, 38, of Greentown, passed away surrounded by family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer at 9:14 PM Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence. Born December 16, 1978 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Rick Mooney and Debbie (Robinson) Mooney. Michelle was a 1998 graduate of Kokomo High School. On May 18, 2002, she married Michael Kevin Lybrook, and he survives. She was employed with Flowers by Ivan and Rick for over 20 years. Above all she always took care of her family.
Survivors include her husband Michael Kevin Lybrook of Greentown; her parents Rick and Debbie Mooney of Kokomo; two sons Alexander Devin Lybrook and Kolton Michael Lybrook, both of Greentown; one daughter Cheyanna Mishelle Lybrook of Greentown; one step-son A1C Jason (Kaitlin) Brown of Travis AFB, Fairfield, CA; one sister Lori Lee Thomas (Glen Taylor) of Kokomo; paternal grandmother Roberta Mooney of Greentown; father-in-law Dale Lyrook and companion Cindy Kelley of Florida; mother-in-law Jacki (Ross) Petty of Tennessee; grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law Jack and LaMerle Alexander of Greentown; sisters-n-law Jennifer Lybrook and Amanda Lybrook of Tennessee; brother-in-law David Petty of Indiana; Sister-in-law Lisa Blanton of Greentown. There are also several nieces, nephews, and special friends Nikki and Mark Davis of Kokomo. She is also survived by her furbabies Gus, Chloe, and Nieko.
Michelle was preceded in death by one sister Heather Purvis; also by her paternal grandfather Ivan Mooney; one aunt Wahnetta McKay, and her Mammy Jo.
The family would like to thank the St. Vincent Cancer Center-Kokomo, Jacki Petty, and Jill Shiposh, for the special care given to Michelle.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday July 10, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastors Jerry Gephart and Ed Bridegroom will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, Indiana. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
