

Montra Arletta Smith, 95, of Kokomo passed away at 7:55 PM Saturday April 28, 2018 at her residence. Born May 8, 1922 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Earl Griffith and Rhoda (Bolinger) Griffith. In 1950 she married Dale Whiteman and he preceded her in death in 1977. She then married Rollin Smith in 1982 and he preceded her in death in 2013. She was a homemaker who raised yorkies and poodles. She was a Jehovah's Witness and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons Stephen Whiteman of Kokomo and Greg (Becky) Whiteman of Silver Lake; three daughters Kathy (Jim) Hunter of Kokomo, Deborah (David) Myers of North Manchester, and Teresa (Dan) Nicholas of Kokomo. There are sixteen grandchildren Michelle, Lisa, Kathy, John Michael, John, Kim, Christina, Joshua, Justin, Abbey, Zack, Stephanie, Heather, Victoria, Briana and Brittani. There are also 36 great grandchildren Alexis, Evan, Gavin, Ashton, Emma, Corbin, Lydia, Keaton, Carson, Declan, Harrison, Macie, Graham, Ethan, Braxton, Isaac, Aubrey, Coleson, Jessica, Jeremy, Jarrett, Kyler, JoAnna, Shana, Steve, Charlie, Allison, Corey, Desiree', Nicole, Heather, Brandon, Daniel, Austin, Jace , Brett, one great great grandchild Sophia; also one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sons Mike Mulvaney and Bill Mulvaney; also one brother Earl Griffith, one granddaughter Tracy; also one niece and one nephew.
Montra's wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will take place at a later date.
