Nancy "Mimi" Hill, age 64, of Peru, Indiana passed suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, despite her resiliency towards life. Nancy was born September 26, 1957 in Cumberland, MD to the late Chester Rogers and Jane Amos. She married Ronald Hill and he precedes her in death.
Nancy loved being with her family, Florida sunshine, beaches, and her loyal dog, Peanut, and loving cat, Sweet Pea. She was an avid cruise vacationer and could give life to any plant with her special gardening skills. Nancy also fought and won stage 4 lung cancer. Even through rough and tough times, she still loved life and the Lord every day.
She is remembered by many, including her children, Ginger DeWitt and James (Heather) DeWitt; step-children, Shane (Angie) Hill, Nataska (Craig) Stanton, and Ashley (Andy) Mims; grandchildren, Tori (Oden) Davis, Elizabeth DeWitt, Emma DeWitt, Owen DeWitt, Jayden DeWitt, Michael and Alyssa Hill, Trinity annd Triston Stanton, and Blake, Kyaleigh, and Trevor Mims; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther (Gunther) James and Julie (Joe) Thompson; brother, Lee Rogers; stepmother, Judy Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Hill; sister, Robin Lewis; and grandchild, Aiden DeWitt.
There will be a time of visitation with Nancy's family on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Ned Sutherland will officiate.
