Noah was born in Utica, Kentucky. He was a graduate of Davies County High in Owensboro, Kentucky. He graduated from Evansville University, and his master's degree was from Ball State University. He taught art in Decatur County, Indiana, before moving to Kokomo Center Schools, where he taught art in elementary and middle schools until his retirement.
He loved sports and was a member of the John Purdue Club. He served as an elder of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He also enjoyed gardening and travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oda Shouse Sr. and Clara Tucker Shouse, and by siblings, the Rev. Oda Shouse, Betty Burden, Kirk Shouse, and Robert Shouse.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Fern Shouse, of Kokomo and Summerfield , Florida; sister, Jean Shangle, of Louisville, Kentucky; and brother, James Shouse, of Owensboro, Kentucky; stepdaughter, Phyllis Crow, of Belleview, Florida; and stepson, Rich Rogerson, of Lafayette, Indiana. He also is survived by five grandsons and six great-granddaughters.
Noah passed away at the Hospice House of the Villages, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association; the First Evangelical Presbyterian l Church, of Kokomo; or the Hospice house of the Villages, Florida.
A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date in the spring.
