

Ralph E. Cox Sr., 68, Kokomo, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was at home with his family and loved ones. He was born December 17, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late McGhee and Margaret (Scarlett) Cox. On November 10, 1962, he married Elizabeth (Breeden) Cox, who survives.
Ralph retired from Continental Steel in 1985. He was a member of the Cushman Club of America, the Vintage Motor Bike Club, and an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed restoring Camaros and Cushman motor scooters. He also loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Liz, he is survived by two sons, Ed and Sandy (Kranz) Cox Jr. of Kokomo, and Joe and Jenny (White) Cox of Westfield; five grandchildren, Kurtis Cox of Kokomo, Kourtney Cox and fiancé Brandon Hainlen of Kokomo, Drew, Brooklyn, and Aiden Cox all of Westfield; brother, Jimmy Cox; sister, Judy Crumpley both of Knoxville, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Jean Munsey.
Visitation, a celebration of his life, will be on Monday at Beulah Land Church, 6569 N. 400 W., Sharpsville, Indiana (Tipton County), from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be on Tuesday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastors Dan Coomer and Lori Melton officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Online messages of condolence may be made at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
