Rickey Joe Deeter

Rickey Joe Deeter, age 63, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his residence. He was born on November 10, 1961 in Kokomo, Indiana to Daniel Joe and the late Mary Jane (Diller) Deeter. Rickey married Jennette (Rayn) Deeter on February 5, 2025, and she survives.

Rickey worked in skilled trades for Dana Incorporated in Lafayette, Indiana for 15 years. He worked previously for Chrysler and Haynes International in skilled trades as well. Rickey also served in the United States Army for 6 years. He enjoyed listening to country music and loved doing home improvements. Rickey was a hard worker and also enjoyed teaching his family his trade skills. During his down time, he enjoyed sitting in his rocking chair and hanging out with his dog, Lexie Deeter. Above all, he loved his John Deere, his Bud Light, and the love of his life, his wife, Jennette.

Surviving is his loving wife, Jennette; two sons, Matthew Joseph (Kasey) Deeter and Darrick Michael (Layke) Deeter; three stepdaughters, Jenny (Chris) Kanable, Jennelle (Tony) Glassburn, and Jennene Garcia; grandchildren, Braxton Deeter, Annabelle Deeter, Weston Deeter, Abbott Deeter, Walton Deeter, Makayla Bell, Klaytin Cook, and Koltin Cook; his father, Daniel Joe Deeter; uncle, Dave (Donna) Deeter; siblings, Mylinda (Kenneth) Wright and Terry (Mitzi Smith) Deeter; nieces, Carrie (Josh) Smith, Jennifer (Matt) Brower, Daniele Wright, Andrea (Sam) Wright-Hughes, and Ashley Deeter.

Preceded in death is his mother, Mary Jane (Diller) Deeter.

There will be a time of visitation for Rickey on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN. Entombment will follow to Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Military Rites will performed by the United States Army.
