Rita D. Richardson

Rita Daune Richardson, 85, passed away at home with family by her side on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018. Rita was born to Ralph Dietrich and Eunice Dietrich-Fugett on November 14th, 1932 in Indianapolis. She graduated from Carrolton High School, then went on to work as a secretary for Northwestern High School for 30 years. Rita married Buddy E. Richardson on October 27th, 1951. Rita enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and caring for her family. In their younger years, both Rita and Buddy loved traveling to Arizona. Rita also liked to do crossword puzzles. Rita is survived by her sons, Mark (Sabra) and Mike (Dr. Melody) Richardson, grandchildren Buddy (Rachel), Maggie (Michael) Ernest, Carson, Suzanne, Erin, Nicholas, Cameron, and Taylor; great-grandchildren Jacob, Maddie, Andrew, Charlie, Max, and Parker. Rita is preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Buddy E. Richardson; and sisters Marlene Proctor, Marjorie Allen and Nancy Rumbaugh. Family and friends may call from 11 AM to 1PM on Tuesday, May 29th, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral will follow at 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Lissa Litka.
