

Robert E. “Bob” Pfohl, age 86, passed away at 7:55 pm on August 23 2017. Robert was born on November 2, 1930 in Anderson to Elmer J. and Elnora (Henry) Pfohl. His companion Marcella Pavese survives him.
Bob was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary’s high school in Anderson. He then went to serve in the U.S. Army in 1952, becoming Staff Sergeant in the Korean War. He also served three years in the Indiana National Guard, belonged to the American Legion Post 317 in Greentown, the NRA, and was a 55-year member of U.C.T. Bob was the assistant manager of Osco Drug Store for 14 years, retiring in 1995 as manager for Soupley’s Liquor Store after 13 years, a local photographer for 30 years, and was a photographer for J.F.K. in 1961. As a man of faith, Bob was a lifetime member with the Catholic Church. Bob had many hobbies; stand-up comedy for nursing homes and at his church, racing stock cars in the late 50’s, Hydro planes in the early 60’s, and attended Nascar and Indy car races through-out the years. The Pacers and the Colts were his favorite teams.
He is survived by his love, Marcella, children, Michael J. Pfohl, Linda M. (Bill) Simmons, and Teresa K. Clayton (husband Michael passed in March 2016), grandchildren; Haylee Pfohl, Ashley (Andrew) Hudson, Amber North, Michael Barrett, Joe Biehle, Larry Pfohl, great-grandchildren; Martin, Allison, Mason, Blake, Colten, Liam B. Adalyn, Liam N. Lenox, Kileigh, Sydnee, Lacey Jarvis, Kassondra Gorman and Amanda Carter.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert J. Pfohl and sister Mary.
A Funeral Mass for Robert will be Monday, August 28, 2017 at 12p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1204 N. Armstrong Street, Kokomo, Indiana with Father David Huemmer officiating. There will be Military Honors at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Anderson Indiana at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Natalie’s 2nd Chance Dog Shelter. www.nataliessecondchance.org
