

Sadik R.“Dick” Banush, 77, of Kokomo passed away at 5:38 AM Saturday September 30, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. Born August 13, 1940 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Frank Banush and Evelyn (Hoffman) Banush. He served in the United States Army from 1959-1962. On June 17, 1961 in France, he married Claudine (Roiz), and she survives. He retired from Continental Steel in 1986. He then worked for Accurate Parts and worked part-time for Kokomo Center Schools for 16 years. He coached and managed Little League at Lafayette Park for 4 years. He also pitched fast-pitch softball for 31 years where he won two state titles and made one national appearance. He loved playing golf and pitching horseshoes. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Dick is survived by his wife of over 56 years Claudine Nicole Banush of Kokomo; four sons Rick (Sheila) Banush of Rochester, Michael (Angela) Banush, Donald (Trudy) Banush, and Ronald Banush all of Kokomo. There are four grandchildren Bradley Banush, Kaitlin Banush, Nathan Banush, and Brian Banush.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 6, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Bill Hale will officiate. Entombment with military rites by the United States Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary.
