Nécrologie de Serria Sue (Burnett) Biehle
Serria Sue Biehle, 76, of Kokomo passed away Friday, November 16 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 1, 1942 in Kokomo, Indiana to Lester and Ellen (Luckey) Burnett. Sue went to Kokomo High School and then married Albert Biehle February 21, 1959. They were together more than 60 years before his death earlier this year on May 19, 2018. Sue studied cosmetology and for a while worked as a hairdresser, but she soon left that field to be a homemaker, taking good care of her husband and children. She was involved with the Eagles and VFW as part of the Women’s Auxiliary and served as president for the Women’s Bowling Association. She loved crafts, knitting and crocheting blankets for her kids and grandkids. Sue loved the holidays and spent many hours in the kitchen cooking and baking special treats like banana nut bread and apple butter, and making special “leaded” rum balls for the adults and “unleaded” for the kids! She especially loved putting together Christmas bags for everyone. She loved them all so much, she will be greatly missed. Sue is survived by her children, Albert Biehle, Jr., Edward (Karen) Biehle, and Kris (Sean) Campbell; sister, Brenda (Dewayne) Madsen; grandchildren, Alicia, Monica, Toby, Kay and Vannessa; great grandchildren, Olivia, Josh, Aliza, Landan, Jordinne, Eric, Taegan, Jace, Jasper and Asa; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by siblings, Leon Burnett and Sheila Sims. Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 20 from noon – 2pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 with service to follow at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 2723 S. Albright Rd., Kokomo, IN 46802.
