Sharon R. Leach

Sharon R. Leach, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019. She was born to Raymond and Dorothy (Lynas) McClelland on October 7, 1940 in Kokomo. Sharon married Donald Leach on May 18, 1957. Sharon retired in 1998 from General Motors after thirty-three years of service. Sharon loved to spend time outside, hiking, biking, and being in nature. She loved to travel to the Smokey Mountains and other places with a group of her girlfriends. When she was not traveling, she liked to landscape and tend to her yard at home. She loved to socialize and entertain her friends and family at parties and holiday gatherings. She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them. Sharon will be missed by her friends and family. Sharon leaves behind her children Kim (Lawrence) Fox, Gregory (JoAnne) Leach, Mitchell (Barbara) Leach, and Chris (Susan) Leach; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon is preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; and two sisters Judith Barnett and Lois Augustine and their husbands Thomas Barnett and Coleman Augustine. Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, May 20th at Ellers Mortuary, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Terry Russell. Sharon will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden following the service.
